Artists in Residence
In opera, a song is referred to as an air while an operatic solo is called an aria. In 2005, the Amarillo Opera began the AiR program which brings an artist in residence to the
Texas Panhandle for one month. During their experience, the artist will work with us on community and school outreach programs, in addition to performing recitals and concerts
in small venues.
